Sorry this event is now sold out.   Commodore Jerry Kyd is the first seagoing Captain of the Royal Navy's new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.  He is the former Captain of HMS Ark Royal and HMS Illustrious.  Jerry will talk about the development of the Queen Elizabeth as part of GAF's Big Theme for 2018 - Maritime Inventions and Ingenuity (Creative Genius Hampshire Cultural Trust).

Theatre Talk by Edyth Miles

This is Edyth's second visit to GAF.  This time she will give a talk on the colourful and intriguing form of Italian Theatre popular between the 16th and 18th centuries - the aristocracy had their opera and rest of the population had Commedia dell'arte.  This is the talk that was to take place in March and July and was postponed.  People who had reserved places in March and July have their payment transferred to this event on Tuesday 11 September. …
