Inspired by the Hamble River
A Watercolour Painting Workshop with Kirstin White
Kirstin White paints on-the-spot watercolours at weddings and events. In Saturday’s workshop we will aim for energy and immediacy in our watercolour paintings of the Hamble River.
Beginning by trying out a few helpful watercolour painting techniques, we will move on to creating fresh and rapid watercolours depictions of the Hamble River. Bring your own photographs of the Hamble to work from, there will be additional inspiring photographs provided for you to select from. The tutor will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and offer guidance throughout the workshop. You will learn something about wet and dry techniques with watercolour, composition, skies, water etc. in a relaxed environment.
A list of suitable materials and equipment will be provided on enrolment. Alternatively, everything you will need during the morning can be hired for a £5 supplement. (Successful results need professional kit, so only the best is provided!)
The workshop is suitable for all, please advise of your level of experience when booking so that content can be tailored accordingly. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 23rd February at 10am. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival. The easiest parking is in School Road outside GAF or, if you are coming by rail, we are only a short walk from Bursledon railway station.
