Riverside Garden Party

Please join us on Saturday 12 th July for GAF's Summer spectacular!   John and Judy Madin of Fairport House, Lands End Road, Bursledon have kindly invited GAF to host a party in the grounds of their home, with stunning views across the Hamble River.  

The musical line-up will provide a sophisticated accompaniment to the Summer Buffet.   The City of Southampton Wind Quintet will start the evening followed by soprano, Vicky Dunn and for those who fancy a dance after dinner six-piece band Contrast will be jazzing it up!   There will also be a chance to improve your moves as dance tutor, Tom Arkle will be on hand to teach us some steps.

Planning Application Submitted

Thank you to those who joined us for our two events held to unveil our plans for the Chapel.  

On Thursday 3rd April we invited members of the business community to the Royal Southern Yacht Club for a presentation and then on 18th April we presented the plans to the general public at Bursledon Village Hall.   Many very useful comments were made and we feel that our architects have addressed the concerns raised.

The major works will all be concerned with securing the structure and making it accessible to the public.   The problems that the chapel faces are numerous and rather complex in places, however from the surveys conducted, no irrevocable damage or faults have been revealed.   'Structurally sound' has been the verdict but to make the chapel a functioning community amenity the extensive damp problems need to be addressed once and for all.
